Cousin Photography Session | Wayland, MA

Mar 12, 2022

These sweet young women reached out right before the holidays inquiring about a cousin photography session. They wanted to give their grandmother a collage of photos of the group of them. We had a blast in the studio. They cheered each other on, they laughed together, and just had so much fun enjoying each other’s company. It was a delight!

These types of session are so fun and rewarding for me. Seeing individual personalities emerge as each one gets more comfortable in front of the camera is magical. It was clear this group of young women truly care about each other and enjoy spending time together.

After this cousin photography session, I received the loveliest handwritten note from them. It read:

Dear Cynthia,

I just wanted to say thank you again for helping us create a thoughtful Christmas present for my grandmother. She absolutely loved the pictures and we can’t stop looking at them – they are all beautiful! I truly appreciate all your help and will definitely recommend you to friends and family in the future. Happy holidays!

~ A.

When doing a group shot such as this session, I always give the option for different groupings and individual shots as well. These two sisters started – and then couldn’t stop – laughing. It was adorable.

Lots of people consider sibling sessions, but next time, why not consider an extended family or cousin photography session? I don’t know about you, but my kids enjoy such a special bond with their cousins. It makes me and my siblings so happy to see them grow into these relationships. Not only will they treasure the photographs of them with their cousins, but parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents will be so happy to have them too! Get in touch so we can schedule your cousin session!
